About me (elevator pitch version)
My name is Bill. I've been drawing since I was yay high... and I've been using that skill for a living most of that time. The rest of that time is spent hanging with my boys and fabulous wife, enjoying my coffee, and spoiling my dog.
if you’re not into the whole brevity thing...
I started using my nack for creation in high school as a decent side hustle. Side hustle? I guess if I didn't have a job it was just a regular hustle. Anyway, I made some decent gas money airbrushing tee shirts and pinstriping cars.
for the next decade or so I worked in advertising for clients such as Korbel, Jack Daniel’s, Old Forester, Canadian Mist, & many others. Then, in 2003 my friend Scott Shuffitt co-founded the Lebowski Fest and asked me to design the poster. That was the beginning of about 15 years and over 100 pieces of Lebowski-esque art and design (which you may have noticed on my site), not to mention the push I needed to leave the agency life and work for myself.
And that's where I've spent the last 20 years. Designing everything from prop book covers for movies and television to a neon sign for a Honky Tonk in my hometown of Louisville, to Bourbon and Rum labels for some very fine spirits.
